Young Glory announces the round 1 brief and officially launches its 2019/20 season

The creative industry’s version of the Tour de France for emerging talent is on again, announcing its first four rounds of judges for the 2019/20 season.

The 8 month long competition, which tallies team results across 8 briefs from 8 different world-class judges, has been responsible for identifying some the globe’s most consistent creative talent since 2011.

VMLY&R North America CCO Jason Xenopoulos is kicking things off with the first brief now live, whilst inaugural Young Glory winner and current Google Rare spearhead Stefanie DiGianvincenzo will set the October brief.

Says DiGianvincenzo: “Young Glory is a great program for any aspiring creative thinker.

“It forces the true talent to rise to the top – the talent that’s willing to put in the work month after month. It’s a great way to test yourself on a global stage – and learn a lot as you’re doing it.”

Last year’s overall winners were TBWA Sydney’s Meredith Besseling and Anne Lau in the Professional category, whilst Teodor Fjäll and Viktor Einarsson from Berghs School of Communication dominated the Student category. Both teams were flow to C2 Montreal to present their ideas on stage in front of a C-Suite audience.

Another former Young Glory winner, Xavier Blais, now a CD at Rethink in Canada, also joins the judges panel in December, whilst judges from Taxi Toronto will judge the November round.
