MID LEVEL GRAPHIC DESIGNER (FULL TIME) – LIFESTYLE COMMUNITIES – SOUTH MELBOURNE

A little bit about our product and our people:

We are champions for facilitating a bigger life for downsizers. We do this by building beautiful homeowner-centric homes around Melbourne and Regional Victoria, complemented by stunning facilities that engender connectivity and wellbeing.

We believe it’s a privilege to walk alongside the downsizer and elevate the next phase of their lives, which is why we maintain a laser-like focus on best practice outcomes for our people and our product. This is underpinned by all the benefits you’d expect to find at an ASX300 listed company with over 20 communities (and then some).

These hallmarks of a publicly listed company are complemented by our insatiable desire to do things differently. If we’re not serving up experiences that deliver a smile and wink, with a side serving of knowing nod and inspiration, we believe we’re not doing our job.

We live for our people and we breathe surprise and delight moments into their days on the daily. And whilst we take our responsibility to our people and our product seriously, we do not take ourselves seriously.

We’re allergic to the earnestly bland and have a strong aversion to vanilla; unless it’s infused into a candle or stirred into a cake. In our business, the colour beige begins and ends with our beige slacks and skirts.

But enough about our uniforms. And enough about us already! We’d love to hear more about you. What do you think about us? Just kidding. But if you’ve read this far, you must really really want to learn more about our new role. Which bring us to the next bit…

A little bit about you:

We are looking for a passionate, creative and thoughtful person that enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

This role will work closely with our current Senior Graphic Designer to achieve outcomes in a quick, efficient, and accurate manner. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flexible approach based on tactical business ideas/priorities. You will be curious-minded and look for opportunities to support an innovative approach from a Graphic Design perspective. Your role will be focused on servicing not only the internal marketing team but our key stakeholders, therefore strong time management skills will be essential. You will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively in equal measure.

Most importantly you will feel inspired and challenged to work for a purpose-driven business and in all you do, know that you are working towards empowering homeowners and future homeowners with the possibilities to live a ‘bigger’ life.

Your days will involve a little bit of this and that:
– Supporting the current Graphic Designer to execute strategies to deliver to our target audience.
– Assisting with preparation of layout or mock-ups of design using illustration, text, photography, colour and computer-generated imagery, either by hand or using computer software.
– Assisting with organising the production of proofs to liaise with suppliers
– Assisting with the preparation of designs for digital print.
– Your natural creative will energise you to weigh-in on marketing conversations, contributing a unique, creative perspective.
– You will work with the team to develop ways to improve processes and create efficiencies relating to design and creative.

To be successful in the role you will have the following:
– At least 3 or 4 years experience in a graphic design role.
– Experience working in the consulting or agency space is desirable
– Excellent attention to detail.
– A willingness to roll up your sleeves, take ownership and be proactive within a supportive team environment.

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, then we’d love to hear from you! Please send through your CV with a cover letter telling us all about you, and examples of the work you love to do!
