TBWA\NZ would like to announce no changes to its leadership in playful ad in the NZ Herald
Following a number of advertising agency shake ups in the last few weeks TBWA\New Zealand has launched a playful campaign in the New Zealand Herald.
The ad states: “As The Disruptive Company we would like to announce no changes to our current leadership team.
“The advertising industry is going though major disruption at the top. And although we believe that disruption gives our clients’ businesses an unfair advantage, we’d like everyone to know that when it comes to people, it’s about stability. So you can still call Catherine Harris (CEO) or Shane Bradnick (CCO) on their usual numbers. Whenever you like.”
Says Catherine Harris, CEO, TBWA\NZ: “At TBWA\NZ we are incredibly proud of the brilliant team of talent we have attracted to work with us on some of the biggest and best brands in New Zealand. We have done this with a very committed and ever growing team of top talent.
“With all the changes in leadership in the industry right now, speculation of change just isn’t part of the TBWA narrative. We wanted our people and our partners to know that the team we have built is as committed as ever. So what better way to do that than with an ad.
“While we are The Disruption Company, sometimes the most disruptive thing to do is to stay committed to your vision, your path, your people and your partners. Plus it feels like everyone needed a bit of fun.”

Low blow. I always thought they were above this sort of thing.
Better have their own house in perfect order…
Really
So odd that the CEO and CCO signed this off. What do they imagine this is doing for their business? Who are they endearing themselves to?
Should’ve been simpler. It’s not disruptive. It’s mainstream.
But top marks for trying.
The intent is right.
Really? We are upset and have our noses out of joint about this? For f*#@s sake lighten up everyone.
A perfect example of the tight jerk circle we work in. ooffnnnwaaaaah
Full page press ad. Disruptive
shot.
It’s ok. Could have been much tighter.
An agency stands for more than just two people by the way.
100 people?
The best agencies have always let their latest work do the talking.
And taking a jab at the people who helped them get started….
My rewrite (at present it looks like an insecure client wrote it – talking disruption three times in order to get across a perceived point of difference’.
Headline:
Proud to announce no leadership changes at TBWA.
Visual:
Small skull.
Lots of yellow space. Centre the type. Kearn the current type correctly. Reduce the current leading.
Mainly because people are angry in the comments.
