Special Group NZ proceeds to APAC regional round of judging in The Immortal Awards 2021

The Immortal Awards has today unveiled the shortlist and finalists from New Zealand and Australia, following a virtual round of judging on Thursday 7th October, hosted in partnership with global partners Nice Shoes.

In total, the 25 highest scoring projects from across the first round of ANZ judging made this year’s shortlist. The 25 projects were then debated by a local jury in a virtual round of discussions to determine which projects, if any, should receive finalist status and proceed to the Asia Pacific round of judging. One New Zealand entry and five Australian entries and have been selected as finalists and have qualified for the regional round of judging.

Special Group New Zealand was the only Kiwi agency to go through to the next round of judging for Every Kiwi Vote Counts ‘Meddle In The New Zealand Election‘.

Australian entries going on to the next round of judging include The Monkeys with ARC Edit for Meat & Livestock Australia ‘Make Lamb, Not Walls‘ and The Monkeys for UN Women Australia ‘When Will She Be Right?‘, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for Carlton & United Breweries ‘VB Solar Exchange‘, VMLY&R Melbourne for Royal Australian Navy  ‘Lost In Translation‘ and M&C Saatchi Sydney for The Minderoo Foundation ‘Thrive by Five‘.

The Immortal Awards, hosted by Little Black Book and free to enter for all of the platform’s members, successfully introduced regional judging last year and is now introducing local rounds for 2021.

The regional Asia Pacific round of judging will take place on Friday 22nd of October, with an Asia Pacific jury selecting which projects will go on to the final round.

The final, global round of judging will then take place on Thursday 18th November, in which all regional finalists will compete for an Immortal Award or Commendation status.
