Chorus highlights big fibre boost in latest campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand

Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has created a new campaign for Chorus, highlighting the incredible potential and future capacity of the Chorus fibre network.

The campaign features Ricky, who some viewers may recognize from last year’s “Badnet” spot, enjoying a quiet day of fence painting before the interruption of a voiceover (Jennifer Ward-Lealand), a metaphor, and one epic, CGI underground fibre tunnel.

Says Karren Harker, head of marketing for Chorus: “New is often assumed to be better so our marketing challenge is to help Kiwis understand that something that has taken over a decade to build is still, hands down, the best choice. This new campaign, timed to support the Big Fibre Boost – our largest-ever performance upgrade for New Zealand fibre customers- reinforces the near limitless potential of New Zealand’s fibre network.”

Says Steve Cochran, CCO, Saatchi & Saatchi: “We’re proud to share and celebrate the continuing Chorus story – now one of the world’s best fibre networks, not just today, but for future generations. It truly is bigger than we can imagine.”

Says Corey Chalmers, ECD, Saatchi & Saatchi: “It’s been so much fun going back to the world we started building in last year’s campaign. Most people aren’t aware how big a deal the Chorus fibre network is for New Zealand, and its truly massive capability. We felt an epic approach was best, but in a typically Kiwi, not entirely serious way.”

The campaign launched on Sunday 28th November and will run across broadcast television, online video, OOH, radio, digital and social.
