YoungShand bolsters production offering with three new appointments

YoungShand has announced the appointment of three new stars to the YoungShand team. Each of these women bring their own signature style and expertise, and the agency is excited to have them and their brains in the building.

Esther Watkins (above centre) is joining the team in a newly created head of production role. Bringing her 30 years’ experience working across agency, and production companies.

Says Watkins: “I’m excited to be heading up the production team for YoungShand. We’ve done some brilliant work together in the past few years and taking on the head of production role felt like a natural fit for me. I’m looking forward to producing more great work with the team and fun times at Blake Street.”

Says Emma Dalton, general manager at YoungShand: “I’m thrilled to have Esther join the team and head up our integrated production offering. We have worked with her over the past two years to help create some of our best work. Her experience partnered with the fact she is already adored by our team and the industry alike meant she was a natural choice for the role.”

Kim Mueller (right) also joins the agency as its new integrated producer and is “super excited about joining the beautiful team at YoungShand.”

Mueller joins from Saatchi & Saatchi, bringing over five years of expertise.

Says Scott Maddox, creative director at YoungShand: “From Kim’s first day, I could see her passion for creating great ideas was going to have a huge impact on our integrated offering here at YoungShand. She’s a great addition to the team.”

Also joining YoungShand is Beatriz Carbonilla (left), in the role of intermediate designer. Carbonilla has been at TVNZ for the last four years. Her bicultural identity as a Filipina in Aotearoa gives her a refreshing and necessary perspective that any agency would be lucky to have in house.

Says Carbonilla: “My identity fuels my desire to challenge social norms and celebrate diversity which includes the marginalised QTBIPOC and BIPOC. I’m excited to see where this new journey with YoungShand takes me, I’m ready to learn and grow.”

Adds Maddox: “Beatriz brings such a great energy to the design department, she’s made a great impact on the work already.”
