Job Title: Conceptual Packaging Designer

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 /yr

Location: Purley – Onsite 5 days a week

This is an exciting opportunity for a Conceptual Packaging Designer to join one of the top global packaging, branding, and production specialists. They bring a 360 full-service design approach – from strategic, to creative and the final production/execution. Their clients trust them to ensure their brands are picked first at the retail shelf.

They are looking for a Conceptual Packaging Designer to join them in-house, 5 days a week in their Purley office. Here you will be working across a range of brands and categories where you will take ownership of the whole process, from the original briefing, to concepts, through to final presentation.

You will bring a passion for FMCG packaging as on a day-to-day basis you will be creating new, high-level original, and exciting design concepts whilst working within style guides and brand guidelines. This will require someone with at least 3 years of experience within the packaging design space and you will have a portfolio with commercial food design examples to support this. Strong typographical and illustration skills are a must, as well as being fluent in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Any additional skills across 3D design will be a bonus.

It is essential that you have packaging examples in your portfolio when you apply.

You will bring a high attention to detail, proof reading designs to ensure a consistent, high level of precision and accuracy as well as working with stock imagery to create photo-realistic suggestion compositions.

This is a busy studio, where you will thrive working under pressure, running high-volume projects efficiently and always hitting your deadlines. Your communication skills will be second to none as you work collaboratively across the many teams, whilst liaising directly with your Account Managers to ensure full understanding of client briefs.

This role is working onsite full time, 5 days a week at their Purley (Surrey) office which is just a 45-minute train from central London (20 minutes from Clapham Junction, or 25 minutes from London Bridge).
