New leadership roles at Vivaki and Starcom
Vivaki (the Publicis owned group charged with managing the combined resource of Starcom, ZenithOptimedia and Razorfish) today announced three significant new leadership roles across Starcom and the group.
Alex Radford ( pictured left, previously head of search, OMD) has been appointed to the role of director, Vivaki Hub. The Vivaki Hub is the group’s combined digital engine room (encompassing search, performance marketing & social implementation).
Kevin Malloy, Vivaki Australasian Country Chair said: “Digital is an incredibly important part of our future and already NZ is the hub for all of the group’s Australasian search. This year the Vivaki Hub will transact more than $50m from NZ and we are very excited that someone of Alex’s calibre has joined the team to lead and develop our offer in this constantly changing arena”.
In conjunction with this, Richard Thompson (above left) has been promoted to the role of Starcom GM digital. In this role Thompson will remain responsible for the digital output across the Vivaki group but will also take an active general management role across Starcom.
Says Alistair Jamison, Starcom CEO: “Richard has made an enormous contribution to both Starcom and Vivaki since joining 18 months ago. He is brilliant, has so much to offer across our entire business and I am really pleased our new structure will allow him to contribute beyond his previously digital centric role”.
Finally, Starcom has announced the appointment of Jo Reid (above right), into a complimentary general manager’s role. Says Jamison: “Our business continues to grow and Jo’s appointment in conjunction with Richard and Alex ensures we are able to continue to focus on strengthening our product, our great relationships and growing our business. These three together make a formadible team and will make a massive contribution to all of our clients”. Jo was formerly general manager at M2M.
