Neil French, free drinks, along with the first Great Advertising Debate and $10,000 – all at NAB Ad of the Year awards – next Thursday 11th August
The NAB is once again hosting the Newspaper Ad of the Year awards, with the largest cash prize in the Southern Hemisphere.
The event takes place next Thursday 11 August at the Aotea Centre, Air New Zealand foyer from 6pm.
Legendary adman Neil French (pictured) will be judging the Finalists. Not only is he judging the Newspaper of the Year award, but he’s the first international judge for a brand new category – the Digital Newspaper Ad of the Year.
And on the same night, the NAB brings you the first Great Advertising Debate, where industry luminaries will get together on stage to discuss the important things. The first topic? Art vs. Copy and which matters more when it comes to press. The names of the esteemed debaters will be revealed next week.
The winning ads will be shown in Metropolitan newspapers around the country the next day, and the man himself will write about why they won.
Says NAB’s GM Robert Munro: “We’ve had a record number of entries with some superb work across print and digital. It’s going to be a boisterous night of debate and celebration. Our MC, Te Radar will have his work cut out fueling the mischief and disorder.”
This is an evening not to be missed. Invites have gone out and the RSVP deadline is Tuesday 9 August.
