Hannahs footwear launches new ‘We Are Family’ spot via 03 Advertising and Blacklab International
Hannahs footwear has launched its new national brand campaign ‘We are family’ in New Zealand via 03 Advertising and production company Blacklab International.
Shot in Auckland, this spot was directed by Paul Giggle from Blacklab International who has previously directed spots for Pepsi, Nokia and Australia Tourism.
The cast also includes International DJ’s ‘The Stafford Brothers’, who flew in especially from LA to appear in the Ad. The New Zealand born brothers also re-mastered the original ‘We are family’ track by Sister Sledge.
Says Giggle: “The shoot was challenging. I wanted the vision to look glamorous yet try to maintain an element of reality. A tough mix to achieve. The casting was tough as we required lots of character combined with very good dancers. The DP I chose, Crightone Bone, is one of new Zealand’s best DP’s who has shot many award winning spots. Candy Lane, from NZ’s ‘Dancing with the stars’, helped with the choreography. Overall the shoot went very smoothly and with help from the boys at post house ‘Altfx’ in Brisbane, the finished commercial looks fantastic.”

I can only assume embarrassing dad was wearing Hush Puppies.
SHAME
I really would like to see the script for this.
how does this have anything to do with shoes
This has to be the cheesiest ad I have seen in a long time. It makes me cringe just thinking about it!
shit this ad made me feel good about the advertising i write.
This ad is certainly in line with recent Hannahs branding. It continues a long-standing Hannahs tradition of not actually having any shoes visible in their visual media.
