IAB New Zealand announces new executive team
The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ) has announced today that Laura Maxwell-Hansen (left) general manager of Yahoo! New Zealand has been elected as its new chairperson
Says Maxwell-Hansen: “I’d like to express my thanks to outgoing chair, Liz Fraser, who held the role for two years and was instrumental in driving member value around our principal focus of marketing and governance. This resulted in 80% of our members telling us that IAB is valuable in helping them grow their business. The Board will continue to build on this value and has been working with industry partners on self-regulatory issues and will roll out a new initiative around online targeting in the next few months.
“The IABNZ Board plays a key role in driving forward the value of digital advertising and working with Alisa Higgins, general manager IABNZ, I am confident we’ll continue to deliver results for our members.”
“Across 2013, we’ll continue to build on our marketing and governance initiatives and lead the industry with best-practise delivery of advertising across screens and in measuring audiences and campaign success. The latter is a complicated topic but I’m pleased to announce IABNZ have put together a Measurement Council to move us forward in this area.”
Joining Maxwell-Hansen on the executive team is John-Paul Randall (left), digital media sales manager, TVNZ as vice-chairperson.
Says Randall: “It’s an honour to be chosen by the IABNZ Board and I look forward to working closely with the Board and Laura Maxwell-Hansen to deliver our priorities and to ensure our work continues to support New Zealand’s interactive advertising industry.”
Higgins says she is excited about working with both Laura and John-Paul.
Says Higgins: “This strong executive team will give us a huge advantage as we work towards our mission of increasing online’s share of total advertising spend to 25% in 2015.”
