DDB NZ snares James Blair for senior account director role to lead agency team on SKY account
DDB New Zealand has announced today that James Blair (left) has been appointed as senior account director leading the agency team on the SKY account.
Blair joins DDB from Shine Limited where he was group account director for three and a half years there, working across Fonterra, Lion and Hyundai. Prior to Shine he sharpened his teeth at Publicis Mojo in Auckland, before crossing the ditch to work at Whybin\TBWA Melbourne on Nissan 4X4 and sports cars.
Says Justin Mowday, managing director DDB New Zealand: “James is the real deal. He has a great track record with big brands and an enviable reputation in the industry. He’s undoubtedly a future leader in our industry; a smart, determined, genuinely nice man who wants to do great work for his clients. Getting him onboard is a real feat.”
Says Blair: “I’m incredibly excited about joining DDB. It’s an agency focussed on delivering real commercial results for its clients, and doing so with remarkable campaigns that capture the nation’s attention. The consistently high standard of work across NZ Lotteries, Volkswagen, Westpac, McDonald’s, Cadbury, Lion and many other clients is extraordinary. I want to be a part of that and help deliver the same for SKY.”
Some of James’ lauded work includes the launch of Mammoth Supply Co, Beck’s ‘Music Inspires Art’, the launch of Isaac’s Cider and the Isuzu D-MAX hunt.

Good on ya James.
Another great suit exiting a sweat-shop (is Colenso or Shine worse?).
