Interislander appoints Y&R New Zealand
Y&R NZ has been appointed the creative agency for Interislander, continuing a run of new business success over the last year.
Interislander marketing manager Gavin Rutherford confirmed the win, following a thorough agency pitch process.
Says Rutherford: “The pitch process confirmed that Wellington is well served with some outstanding agencies and creative work but we felt that Y&R NZ offered the best fit to Interislander in terms of size, experience and personnel. We are looking forward to building our partnership with Y&R NZ and we’re excited by the creative potential they can bring to our brand.”
The win represents a further boost for Y&R NZ in Wellington, following on from its appointment to the Earthquake Commission last September, national gym chain City Fitness in March, and most recently, The Co-operative Bank.
And with another iconic Kiwi brand added to the agency’s client list, the Y&R NZ team couldn’t be happier.
Says Scott Henderson, creative director Wellington: “It’s a great win – and we really appreciate the trust that’s been placed in our team. We’re looking forward to giving Interislander the quality of work and service that their brand deserves.”
Says Elaine Bickell, group account director: “Interislander is both an iconic Kiwi brand and a significant Wellington based business. We are very proud to call them a client.”
