Cadbury inspires New Zealanders to celebrate the magic of their dreams in a new initiative via DDB
Cadbury has launched a new initiative ‘Cadbury Dreams’ aimed at encouraging New Zealanders to celebrate the magic of their dreams.
The campaign was created by DDB and Carat with digital agency, Young & Shand. The TVC, directed by Zoe McIntosh, marks the beginning of the campaign and establishes the feel for a host of other elements that will roll out over the coming months.
The directive of the campaign is to encourage New Zealanders to share their dreams on www.cadburydreams.co.nz and Cadbury will be bringing some to life.
Cadbury New Zealand managing director, Alastair De Raadt is excited about the new campaign. Says De Raadt: “Cadbury is about bringing joy to New Zealanders and has been since our first bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk launched in 1930. Now we want to bring joy to people by bringing their dreams to life. Everyone has dreams; they just don’t always have the ability or the belief to make them happen.
“We want to help some Kiwi’s achieve their dreams and in the process make people happier and more joyful. We are really excited to encourage this sentiment amongst individuals, families and communities across the country. The more we dream, the more positive and joyful we will be as a nation.”
The campaign will exist across a number of different platforms including TV, Online and Radio. The digital arm of the campaign is centered around the hub www.Cadburydreams.co.nz where people can submit their dreams, view others dreams in a Dream Gallery and ‘like’ the dreams they find most inspirational. The experiential element of the campaign will roll out over the remainder of the year as dreams are brought to life across New Zealand.

Wow, that website is hard on the eyes. Looks like it was designed by a student with a whole bunch on 2000’s photoshop layer styles.
The Cadbury one, not the campaign one I should point out.
At least they’re trying to make a website feel like something, rather than another bland grid of some sort. I actually like it, there’s an experience to it. Oh and I like the TV ad too. Lovely little promo spot, that again makes me feel something.
Lovely work James & Christie!
Agree, love James & Christie AND their work.
Wants to thank you for liking their idea. Make.believe – we can make your dreams a reality.
but the idea is a hoary old chestnut
