AMP launches new campaign to remind Kiwis of the importance of insurance for families via DNA
AMP has launched a new advertising campaign to help remind Kiwis of the importance of insurance for families. The campaign prompts us to stop and think about protecting what matters most – the people we love, using TV and online advertising to tell the story.
Because no one likes to think about the unthinkable – an accident leading to serious injury, chronic disease or even death, AMP with its communication partners DNA, Running With Scissors and Bloodhound Media have created a thoughtful and emotional campaign that prompts viewers to reconsider what matters most.
We all want to make sure our kids get the best in life. It’s a natural part of taking care of our families – to support them and give them every opportunity possible. And part of that, of course, is protecting them from the worst.
Says Jeff Ruscoe, AMP’s chief customer officer: “Even so, us Kiwis often forget about the importance of insuring our families. Some 84 per cent of us have car insurance, but only 56 per cent have life insurance and even fewer – 21 per cent – insure their incomes. The family wagon might be replaceable – but people are not.”

The kid is actually pretty good talent.
Utterly generic ad for insurance, but well acted and shot.
