DraftFCB lures Simon Bird from Whybin\TBWA for newly created planning director role
DraftFCB has welcomed former Whybin/TBWA Auckland planner Simon Bird to the agency, as he fills one of two newly created planning director roles, with Olivia Prentice promoted to fill the other.
Bird brings a wealth of experience to DraftFCB, gained over a 16-year career, initially in media and most recently as head of strategic planning at Whybin/TBWA Auckland, where he led the communication strategy for the merger of ANZ and National Bank among other things.
Says David Thomason, head of planning at DraftFCB: “Simon has the ideal skills for us. The lines between Planning and Channel Planning are blurring and Simon can move expertly across both. He also has a strong interest, bordering on obsession, with behavioural economics. That’s perfect for us as The Change Agency.”
