The Social Club Hires (1).jpgWith the influencer marketing sector continuing to boom, New Zealand influencer marketing agency The Social Club, is experiencing its own phenomenal growth, with an expanding team,  updated website and new services launched this month.

Entrepreneur Mark Hurley (far left) joins the business as a non-executive director, where he will guide The Social Club’s strategy and support the company through its growth phase.

As CEO of award winning digitally led creative agency Little Giant, Hurley brings with him start-up and expansion knowledge, as well as a deep understanding of technology and branding.

Tanja Seselj (above right), who joins from Little Giant, has a strong creative agency background and joins The Social Club as head of client services (growth and strategy), while Prashit Kumar (above right) assumes the role of marketing and operations manager, joining the team from Percolate, a San Francisco based content marketing platform, where he consulted for Fortune 500 companies. All are newly created roles within the business.

Over the past three years, The Social Club has delivered more than 2,000 campaigns for companies such as BMW, Fonterra, Air New Zealand and Visa, and currently has more than 5,000 influencers across New Zealand and Australia connected to its business.

The company’s significant growth over that time has seen them roll out its own technology platform to further assist with the influencer marketing process.

The Social Club’s proprietary technology allows for accurate data to be mined from each campaign, which is then used to build their own set of industry standards (CPC – cost per click, CPE – cost per engagement and CPM – cost per 1000 – by industry) within the market.

McGillivray says the three new appointments bring a wealth of expertise to The Social Club.

Says McGillivray: “We’re thrilled to welcome Mark, Tanja and Prashit to our growing team.

“Mark brings great experience to the board and we know his learnings from building a market-leading agency from scratch will be invaluable for our business.

“We’ve also taken the opportunity to bring Tanja and Prashit on board as we look to maximise the services we offer our clients.

“Tanja’s experience in senior roles across some of New Zealand’s leading agencies and her expertise across social, client management and strategy will be particularly critical for the next phase at The Social Club.”

Says McGillivray: “We’ve designed our new website to highlight our service offerings for clients and how influencer marketing can become an integral part of a brand’s marketing strategy.

“We’ve also created an educational hub within our website to be a place for brands, agencies and influencers to find information on best practice in the influencer space.”

With new technology, new team members and the new website, McGillivray is confident The Social Club and its clients will continue to learn and evolve in a rapidly changing and exciting industry.

Says McGillivray: “We pride ourselves on being the market leaders in this sector and we know these new developments at The Social Club will help ensure every campaign – no matter how big or small – is an effective one.”
