FCB NZ promotes group account director Toby Sellers to the position of managing director
FCB New Zealand has today announced the promotion of Toby Sellers to managing director.
Sellers joined the agency in 2010 as a group account director, and has strong experience both locally and globally having worked at leading agencies both in New Zealand and the UK, across a diverse range of brands.
During his time at FCB he has been integral in driving effective advertising campaigns for many of the agency’s major accounts including Mercury, Samsung, Prime and Testicular Cancer. As a key member of the management team for the past eight years, he has led FCB’s new business program and played a central role in recent wins including Samsung and VTNZ.
Sellers’ passion for producing ground-breaking creative work has also been instrumental in the development of some of FCB’s most globally awarded campaigns including ‘Driving Dogs’ for SPCA/MINI, ‘Call Girl’ for Prime Television and ‘Go Balls Out’ for Testicular Cancer.
Says Sellers: “I am delighted by this opportunity to be able to help continue to shape the future of this great New Zealand agency. I’ve seen the agency go from strength to strength in the last eight years and a lot of that is to do with the incredibly talented people who turn up here every day and love what they do.
“The culture of FCB is unique – unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere in the world – and this is one of the reasons why we can make great work for our clients, that has a positive impact on their businesses.”
Says Bryan Crawford, chairman, FCB New Zealand: “Toby is an outstanding, tireless and trusted leader who, since joining the agency eight years ago, has always shown unwavering positivity and commitment to ensuring our clients get the very best creative work possible. A big driver of Toby’s success is his ability to build enduring relationships and there’s no one better at representing our culture.”
Sellers starts his new position with immediate effect.
