The Comms Council launches call for entries for 3rd annual Pressies; deadline Tuesday 20 October

The Comms Council has launched the call for entries for the third annual Pressies. The deadline for entries is Tuesday, 20 October.

The Pressies were created to celebrate campaigns with PR, social and experiential elements at their core, at all budget levels. The award programme looks to recognise and celebrate the best thinking and execution of work over the last 12 months.

Says Gina McKinnon, chair, Comms Council PREScom Committee: “If this year has taught us nothing else it has shown us the profound effect social media and PR can have in and around our community. We have seen how we are using it to talk to, engage with and influence each generation. Covid’s appearance meant most of the nation’s advertisers had to suddenly pivot from traditional platforms to focus on the online landscape. As a result, we will have numerous pieces of marketing brilliance that we look forward to judging at this year’s Pressies.”

Says Paul Head, CEO, Comms Council: “Despite the fact that 2020 has been a shitty year by just about any measure, agencies have worked under tremendous pressure to deliver for their clients and we believe great work still deserves to be recognised and celebrated.”

So, PR, experiential and social agencies, shake off those lockdown blues, give Covid the finger and get cracking on your entries.

Call for Entries documentation and entry forms can be downloaded from the Comms Council website.
