Countdown to the 2022 Aotearoa Effie Awards with TVNZ entry deadline: Tuesday August 9
The advertising industry’s pre-eminent award is once again within reach, as entries open for the 2022 Aotearoa Effie Awards in association with TVNZ. Deadline for entries is tomorrow, Tuesday 9 August.
Since 1968, an Effie Award has been recognised by advertisers and agencies worldwide as representing the pinnacle in advertising effectiveness. It identifies the most significant achievement in marketing communications: ideas that work. The Effie Awards have been running for 20 years in Aotearoa.
This year’s Effie Awards, organised by the Commercial Communications Council (The Comms Council), will not only celebrate outstanding campaigns but the clients who make them possible. Clients who are boldly strategic, determined, creative, brave, and empower their agencies to be the same. Clients who champion effectiveness.
Says Simon Lendrum, CEO of The Comms Council: “This year we want to continue to elevate the people behind the Effie-winning work and celebrate our nation’s most effective marketers with a new category, Effective Marketer of the Year.”
This year’s convenor, Lisa Divett comments on the changes to the programme: “There are a few new things this year including introducing two exciting new categories, Customer Experience and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.The inclusion of these two categories feels like an important reflection of today’s marketing landscape and in regard to DE&I an acknowledgement of the work which uses our skills as marketers to better understand, reflect and continue to shape an Aotearoa we can be proud to bring our tamariki up in.”
After two years of virtual Effie’s, the awards show is set to be in person at Shed 10 on Thursday 20th October. Entry details are now available online (see below) and will close on 9th August.
