FCB Aotearoa and Yarn awarded Grand ORCAs at the 2022 Outstanding Radio Creative Awards

2022 Outstanding Radio Creative Awards (ORCA) and Student ORCA winners have today been announced.

 

FCB Aotearoa has picked up the The Grand ORCA | Non-Standard Campaign for New Zealand Police ‘Survive The Drive FM’, the campaign was also awarded the People’s Choice Award.

Yarn has scored the The Grand ORCA | Standard Campaign for Hell ‘Impossible Pizza’.

The Student ORCA went to AUT University’s Hannah Nguyen and Louis O’Brien for Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand ‘Never Have I Ever’.

Judging was based four criteria: creativity, execution, effectiveness, and innovation.

The 2022 ORCA judging panel was made up of Kim Pick (VMLY&R New Zealand), Leisa Wall (FCB), Brad Collett (Stanley St), Anne Boothroyd (Dentsu Creative) and David Shirley (Special Group).

The 2022 Student ORCA judging panel was made up of Rory McKechnie (DDB), Freddie Coltart (DDB), Matt Williams (DDB), Hadleigh Sinclair (Colenso BBDO) and Hayley Marks (FCB).

Says Peter Richardson, general manager, The Radio Bureau: “Congratulations to this year’s ORCA winners. It was a record year for entries and there was a wealth of outstanding campaigns submitted – I’d like to thank our judges who spent so much of their time listening. Lastly, we’re always blown away by the Student ORCA contenders and this year was no exception. Thanks to AUT University, Media Design School and our partner the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. Until next year!”
