Rob Flynn returns to Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand as head of design

Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has announced that Rob Flynn is returning back to the fold in the role of head of design.

Previously with Saatchi & Saatchi for 14 years where he rose to be the agency’s design lead, Flynn returns after a 3-year and 7-month stint with DDB Aotearoa.

Says Steve Cochran, CCO, Saatchi & Saatchi: “I lost count of the number of messages I got from people here, but also from outside Saatchi’s, advocating for us to hire Rob if we could. Fortunately, we could. He’s certainly a popular man, and I know it’s not just because of that smile.”

Flynn will take responsibility for Saatchi & Saatchi’s entire design output across all disciplines including creative personalisation, collaborating with the creative teams, working with the studio team, and motion graphics, inspiring his designers to brilliance.

Says Flynn: “Having been back in The Strand for the last few weeks freelancing, I already feel totally at home. Saatchi & Saatchi is in my blood, so it’s great to be able to come back. But as familiar as it is, there’s a whole new Saatchi family here now, and so I’m very excited and energised to work with them all.”
