The HOYTS Group announce major partnership with UnLtd to raise funds for young Kiwis at risk

The HOYTS Group New Zealand has partnered with UnLtd Aotearoa, the social purpose organisation connecting the New Zealand media, marketing and creative industry with charities helping young people at risk.

The partnership includes donations from a round-up program at all the HOYTS cinemas across New Zealand and a workplace giving and volunteering program for The HOYTS and Val Morgan staff in New Zealand.

Says Jodi Paton, chief people officer at The HOYTS Group: “We’re honoured to partner with UnLtd and to be able to make a real tangible difference to many young people at risk. Investing in young people is incredibly important to us at The HOYTS Group. One of our key values is caring for others and our HOYTS Cinema and Val Morgan teams are so excited to be able to make a positive impact through their day-to-day work to help those who need support.”The funds raised from the program will go to three UnLtd charity partners helping young people at risk – Springboard, Kindness Collective and Voices of Hope.

Says Brendan Muller, general manager at UnLtd Aotearoa: “We are so excited for this partnership and the positive difference it will make to young Kiwis who need help. This partnership is a great example of how our industry can make a significant impact. Having the support of Hoyts and cinema-goers across the country will be invaluable and we can’t wait to see the impact we can generate together.”

All the funds raised through the round-up program during February will go to Kindness Collective’s flood relief program providing food and essentials to families affected by the Auckland floods.

Says Sarah Page, founder and CEO of the Kindness Collective: “The floods and cyclone have had a massive impact on whānau and communities already struggling. We are working hard to provide food, essentials and small moments of joy for children affected by these devastating weather events. We are so grateful to UnLtd and HOYTS for their support.”
