NZ advertising + marketing industry encouraged to participate in the Global DEI Census 2023

The Commercial Communication Council is proud to support the Global DEI Census 2023, a 100% anonymous survey investigating people’s experience working in the marketing and advertising industry across the world. The census is currently underway, until 15 April, and we encourage everyone in the advertising and marketing industry in New Zealand to participate and share their voice.
Says a spokesperson at Comms Council: “At the Comms Council, we recognize diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential to the success of our industry. We take our internal commitments seriously, and we also understand the importance of reflecting and supporting the communities we and our members operate in and the diverse customers whose lives we seek to improve.”
The Global DEI Census 2023 is a benchmark for diversity, equity and inclusion within the global marketing and advertising industry. Delivered in partnership with the biggest industry organisations worldwide, including the WFA, Cannes Lions, Effie Worldwide, Advertising Week, Campaign Magazine, Adweek and others, the census is a unique opportunity for agencies and brands to evaluate the industry’s progress towards DEI and track global industry progress.
The results will be released globally in June 2023 at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and will answer the question, “How are we doing as an industry, and where do we need to improve?” The ability to measure progress at an industry level and benchmark businesses against it is a valuable cause.
Anyone who works in advertising and marketing can fill in the survey, regardless of their job title or seniority, and it takes around 15 minutes to complete. The survey is completely anonymous, ensuring that people can share their honest opinions.
The Global DEI Census 2023 is underway now, and the Comms Council encourages everyone in the advertising and marketing industry in New Zealand to participate and share their voice.
Says Comms Council: “Let’s work together to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, no matter where you come from or what agency or brand you represent.”
