Long White celebrates saying yes in latest campaign via The Monkeys Aotearoa
Celebrating those Kiwis who break free from their routines and embrace the now, New Zealand vodka brand Long White’s new brand platform developed by The Monkeys Aotearoa, part of Accenture Song, shows that every great adventure starts with a choice.
The campaign film ‘The Decision’ follows one man’s adventures after he seeks encouragement from an unlikely flatmate urging him to take the plunge to have some fun.
Directed by Jason Bock at Flying Fish, the film is supported by OOH, in-store activities and across social. It is set to run nationally this December.
Says Oliver Downs, general manager – marketing, Asahi Beverages NZ: “Long White’s purpose is all around embracing the now, and with this new campaign we wanted to inspire Kiwis to live that purpose. ‘The Decision’ is a film all about making the most of a moment, and the memories that are created as a result. As our first piece of work with new agency partner The Monkeys, we were thrilled with the results.”

Says Damon Stapleton, chief creative officer, The Monkeys Aotearoa: “We know that every great adventure starts with a choice, but that sometimes life gets in the way, and we end up forgoing those opportunities.
“Exploring the possibilities of what could happen when Kiwis say yes this summer was an exciting prospect, and we’re looking forward to building on this activity across the next couple of months. Long White is also New Zealand’s largest vodka RTD and is loved up and down the country so we knew we had to celebrate it the right way.”
The campaign is the first work to launch from The Monkeys Aotearoa after winning Asahi New Zealand in November 2023.

Good work
What’s wrong with chilling
I’m just disappointed
want to get on it
Some nice shots!
Nice one.
Amazing work honing in on a human truth. The spot just draws the viewer in and then rewards you with that spectacular ending. Wow so good and nothing else like it in market. Nice work Monkeys
Wish there was more of the party scene
Say yes
What happened to the dog? Where did it go? Is it ok?
Ripper track.
This is not it. At all. I’m saying no.
For the love of god. Let us know if he’s ok. And the poor goldfish too. The long white surfboard can stay missing.
Just spending more money. It makes no sense.
Fab work!!
Try not to make it too obvious.
No memories made under the influence of long whites are ever remembered
Seriously. What happened to the dog.
This is both utterly forgettable and noticeably nonsensical at the same time. And the random mid journey pictures at the end don’t help the release at all.
Not bad
Correct. It’s a lot worse than bad.
Nice piece of work, although they should have kept in more of the end scene
Well done to The Monkeys for getting out some good work for a typically conservative client. Although some great people there so not surprising
Nice!
Hey guys, we had this idea first, and still lost the pitch…
