Coca-Cola sets out to inspire acts of kindness this Christmas in a range of initiatives in NZ
As one in four adults worldwide experiences loneliness, the true spirit of the holiday season lies in fostering human connection and spreading kindness. This Christmas, Coca-Cola invites Kiwis to embrace the joy of togetherness and the magic of small acts of kindness through a range of heartwarming initiatives.
This year, Coca-Cola celebrates 30 years of its iconic Christmas in the Park in New Zealand, a milestone that underscores the enduring tradition of bringing festive joy to communities across the country. Recognised as New Zealand’s largest free annual entertainment event, the spectacular show—dubbed “the nation’s favourite Christmas party”—offers an unforgettable evening of world-class performances and holiday cheer.
The festivities will kick off in Christchurch on November 30 and continue to Auckland on December 14, showcasing an incredible lineup of talent, including award-winning singer-songwriter Georgia Lines, Persian-Kiwi rapper CHAII, DJ duo Sweet Mix Kids, and hip-hop legend Che Fu. The night promises dazzling performances, breathtaking fireworks, and cherished moments for thousands of attendees from all walks of life.
In addition to live events, Coca-Cola is weaving human storytelling with technological innovation this Christmas. The Create Real Magic Experience brings Santa Claus to life through a personalized digital AI experience. By scanning the QR code on Coca-Cola’s festive bottles or cans, Kiwis can engage in heartfelt conversations with Santa and create a shareable digital snow globe animation inspired by their own cherished memories. This virtual gift serves as a reminder of the power of small acts of kindness and the joy of meaningful connections.
While New Zealand marks three decades of Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, similar initiatives are lighting up the holiday spirit worldwide. In the Philippines, Coca-Cola’s Christmas Caravan and Christmas Truck Tour are creating heartwarming moments in communities. On November 30, the Philippine skies will feature a breathtaking display of 1,300 drones—a celebration of Filipino traditions and a showcase of the season’s magic.
“This Christmas, our aim is to make kindness travel even further,” says Teejae Sonza, Senior Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Trademark, ASEAN & South Pacific Operating Unit. “We believe in the power of connection to create a brighter world. This Christmas, we want to spread kindness to all corners of the globe and remind each other that the real magic of the season is found in human connection.”
As Coca-Cola continues its mission to inspire and amplify acts of kindness, New Zealanders are invited to celebrate, connect, and share in the joy of this special season. For more details, follow Coca-Cola on Facebook, Instagram, and www.coca-cola.com.
