NZ’s pay-per-coverage PR firm relaunches

Payper, New Zealand’s results-based PR firm, has officially relaunched under the leadership of communications expert Lewis Hampton (pictured above).
Initially launched in 2016 by Adrien Taylor, Payper pioneered a revolutionary pay-for-success model that lets clients pay for successful news coverage.
After a hiatus, the business is back with a fresh vision and a commitment to shaking up the PR industry.
Hampton, based in Auckland, brings a wealth of experience to the role, with over a decade in journalism and communications.
He spent the last seven years as communications and content manager at the New Zealand Olympic Committee, leading PR efforts for major events like the Paris 2024 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic, The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and the Gold Coast 2018 and Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
“Payper is about delivering results and bringing radical transparency to the PR industry,” said Hampton.
“Our pricing is directly dependent on how many people we reach, with the model making PR more accessible, accountable, and impactful for businesses that want real results.”
Hampton is passionate about showcasing New Zealand innovation, sport, and business success stories.
“Sharing their stories is one of the most powerful ways for businesses to build their brand and connect with New Zealanders. We’re really proud to be working in this space and helping exciting Kiwi businesses thrive.”
Payper’s clients include Scapegrace, Evnex, Mons Royale, Abe’s Bagels, FTN Motion, Natural Selection Bike, and Smudge.
The relaunch also marks the beginning of Payper’s international expansion, with the business officially launching in Australia next month.
“There’s already a lot of demand from our existing clients to expand our offering into Australia,” Hampton said.
“It’s an exciting step for us, and we’re looking forward to helping Kiwi and Aussie businesses tell their stories across both markets.”
