UnLtd Big Clash Returns with Bigger Purpose

UnLtd, the social purpose organisation for the media, marketing, creative and tech industry in Aotearoa is relaunching its annual Big Clash cricket event.
UnLtd’s charity partner Kindness Collective is at the heart of the 2025 event with a goal to provide 1,000 pairs of pyjamas for the PJ Project, to help keep children across the motu warm through winter.
Penelope Brown, Chair, UnLtd Aotearoa Advisory Board said: “We are setting a very tangible Big Clash goal for our industry, to provide 1,000 pairs of pyjamas to the PJ Project. This is more than just a game; it’s a chance for our industry to come together, showcase our competitive spirit, and create meaningful impact. When UnLtd Aotearoa launched, we all got behind the idea of uniting for good. We are thrilled to reinvigorate the annual Big Clash cricket event with a renewed sense of purpose. By batting and bowling for good, we can make a difference and have a lot of fun doing it!”
The event on 20 March will see all parts of the industry unite on the cricket field to compete for the coveted trophy. The first Captains have been announced with Nicky Greville, Managing Director of Spark Foundry NZ leading one of the women’s teams and Matt Dickinson, CEO of True taking on Captain duties for one of the men’s teams.
In addition to the highly competitive matches, there will be plenty of entertainment on and off the pitch with music by Drop Social, food, drinks as well as raffles and fundraising games. The funds raised through the fundraising on the day will all go towards Kindness Collective’s PJ Project, helping keep kids warm in winter.
Over 143,700 kids in Aotearoa are living in poverty. This means 1 in 8 children go without the basics, including food, shelter and warmth. Being cold can have a detrimental effect on health, school attendance and overall wellbeing. The PJ Project by Kindness Collective is a simple way to make a tangible difference for thousands of tamariki in winter.
Says Simon Lendrum, Board Member of UnLtd Aotearoa: “With this year’s Big Clash, we wanted to infuse the event with even more purpose while keeping the fun and camaraderie that make it so special. It’s about coming together as an industry, connecting, and making a positive impact.”
