Multiplied appoints former LION Head of Design Simon Redwood as Design Director

Independent creative agency Multiplied has appointed Simon Redwood as its new Design Director.

Redwood joins Multiplied with over two decades of experience in brand, digital, and campaign design across Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne, including stints with Bastion Shine, Colenso BBDO, Clemenger BBDO and more recently Lion. He brings a strong belief in design’s ability to solve real-world problems and move people, emotionally and commercially. In his new role, Redwood will lead and grow Multiplied’s design team, continuing the agency’s momentum as it delivers work that’s both creatively distinctive and commercially effective.

“Multiplied is doing the kind of work I admire – brave ideas, beautifully executed, with a clear focus on impact,” says Redwood. “There’s a real ambition here to keep raising the bar, and I’m excited to be part of that journey.”

Redwood replaces outgoing Design Director Reuben Hannaford, who was Multiplied’s very first employee, and played a key role in shaping the agency’s early design direction.

“Reuben helped lay the foundations of what Multiplied is today, a creatively-led agency focused on driving commercial success,” says Aaron Taylor, Partner at Multiplied. “Simon joins at a pivotal time. His leadership, aesthetic sense, and depth of experience will be instrumental in elevating the quality of our design and craft output, and developing a team to match. Myself and the entire team are very excited for our future together.”

The appointment signals the next phase of growth for Multiplied’s design capability, with a strong focus on integrated design thinking across brand, shopper, digital, and experience.
