Chemistry powers first major brand campaign for NZ dual energy distributor Powerco
Powerco, New Zealand’s largest dual energy distributor, has launched its first large-scale brand campaign with agency Chemistry, shining the spotlight on those who keep energy flowing across the lower North Island. Featuring real workers and locations, the work is underlined by a simple but powerful truth: “Here at Powerco, we do our bit, so you can keep doing yours.”
Energy plays a crucial part in everyday life. Yet the infrastructure—and the people behind it—often remain invisible. This campaign, developed by Chemistry, aims to shift that perception, not only raising brand awareness, but positioning Powerco as the quiet, unseen force that works around the clock to ensure customers’ lives run smoothly.
Filmed on live worksites, the campaign centres around real Powerco technicians, contractors, and project managers, working alongside everyday Kiwi to enable the moments that matter. “Shooting at local restaurants, businesses, and workplaces within the Taranaki region across two days was a massive collaboration, and it’s been really rewarding to see the story come to life,” says Chemistry creative Amelia Petrovich.
From morning cups of tea and evenings in front of the fireplace, to charging company EVs and firing up the hob at the neighbourhood eatery, Chemistry’s creative captures the vital, overlooked role that Powerco plays in its communities.
The campaign is now live on social, digital, and online channels.
