New Zealand rises to #14 country in the world at the 2025 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity

New Zealand has once again proven its creative credentials on the global stage, ranking equal 14th in the world at the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, alongside Japan. The country picked up a strong 13 Lions this year, comprising 2 Grands Prix, 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze Lions.

 

This result sees New Zealand climb one spot from its #15 ranking last year.

Out of the 26,900 entries submitted globally this year, New Zealand contributed 330 entries, making it the 17th highest-submitting country in the world.

As expected, the United States dominated the competition with a staggering 203 Lions, followed by Brazil (99) and the United Kingdom (80). France (63) and India (32) rounded out the top five.
