NordEast Vehicle Distributors appoints Bastion Shine as integrated agency partner

Bastion Shine has been appointed as NordEast Vehicle Distributors’ integrated agency partner, supporting the bold new distribution business uniting six Geely Group brands under one umbrella for the first time anywhere in the world.
NordEast, the new distribution division of Giltrap Group, officially launched on 21 August with a bold vision: uniting six Geely Group brands, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Geely, Farizon and disruptive EV newcomer Zeekr under one umbrella for the first time globally. Together, the brands will account for 85% of New Zealand’s electrified vehicle market, with a goal of delivering 5,000 fully electrified vehicles within three years.
Bastion Shine was appointed as NordEast’s fully integrated agency partner, delivering across advertising, creative, digital, PR, social and experiential. The agency’s integrated model paired with the service and talent of an independent enabled NordEast to launch with a single, cohesive strategy and execution, cutting through industry noise with clarity, consistency and speed.
Toby Sellers, CEO of Bastion Shine, says the agency is proud to partner with NordEast to achieve its mission to redefine what Kiwis expect from electrification: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with Dane and the team at NordEast from strategy through to execution, in what is one of the most significant launches in New Zealand’s automotive history. Supporting NordEast gives our team the opportunity to deliver the full breadth of our services across a portfolio of amazing brands to elevate NordEast as leaders of electrified mobility in New Zealand.”
Dane Fisher, Group General Manager, NordEast Vehicle Distributors, says Bastion Shine was selected for their ability to provide end-to-end agency partnership: “The scale and ambition of NordEast meant we needed an agency that could deliver across every discipline, from brand and creative, to digital, PR, social and experiential. Bastion Shine has been that partner. They have not only helped us define and launch the NordEast brand, but also seamlessly integrated six global marques under one narrative for the New Zealand market. Bastion Shine hasn’t just supported our launch, they’ve become an extension of our team, and the perfect partner as we redefine electrified mobility in New Zealand.”
Oliver Green, Chief Creative Officer of Bastion Shine says the team is proud to play a part in the legacy of Volvo and Polestar and Lotus while building worlds for Geely, Zeeker and Farizon: “Our agency was built to meet the challenge of cutting through complexity and delivering powerful, connected ideas across every channel. Dane Fisher and Gene Powell are the best in the business and we’re all stoked to be on the journey with them. We get to make work for some of the greatest brands on four wheels and help bring them into the New Zealand market. This is what we have designed our agency to do. This is why we come to work.”
