VML named New Zealand Agency of the Year in Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 2025: TBWA, Chemistry, Dentsu Creative and FEDERATION make up the top 5

VML has taken out the New Zealand Agency of the Year title in Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 2025. VML led the New Zealand agency pack with 18 Acceptances, followed by TBWA at #2 with 13 Acceptances, Chemistry at #3 with 11 Acceptances, Dentsu Creative at #4 with 6 Acceptances and FEDERATION at #5 with 5 Acceptances.
4AM and MBM share the #6 spot with 2 Acceptances apiece.
This is the 23rd year of THE WORK, which is recognised as a true record of creativity for the entire region and features the very best advertising of the year from Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
This year 241 agencies and production companies entered Campaign Brief’s The Work 2025. There were a record 4,349 entries overall (up from 4,189 entries last year), with the most entries coming from Australia (827), Thailand (796), Philippines (680), India (617), Taiwan (324) and Singapore (281).
Notable work from VML included Take the Jump ‘Hotter than Climate Change’, Kaibosh Food Rescue ‘Rescued Jingles’, Greater Wellington Regional Council ‘Metlink MetService Commute Forecast’, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora ‘Breakfree to Smokefree’, Natural Hazards Commission|Toka Tū Ake ‘After Quake’, and Campari ‘Aperitivo Hour’.








Notable work from TBWA\ included 2degrees ‘Reshaping Rugby. The World’s First TikTok Final’, 2degrees ‘Lullabies’, ANZ ‘Putting NZ on Patrol’, ANZ x AFC ‘Day One’, ANZ ‘Fraud Reflections’ and Anchor ‘Real Good’.

Notable work from Chemistry included Hato Hone St John ‘Light the Way/Station of Light’, Multiple Sclerosis Auckland ‘Annual Appeal’, Pharmaco ‘AED Countdown Direct Mail’, and Digital Arena rebrand.





Notable work from Dentsu Creative included Woolworths ‘The Bee Supermarket’, Tegel ‘Free Range Fans’ and Movember + Life Fitness ‘MindSets’.
Notable work from FEDERATION included Maritime NZ ‘Come home safe deal’, DoorDash ‘Unofficial deal of the game we can’t name’ and St Pierres Sushi ‘St P-air’.
