A world first GPT for creatives? New disruptor tool has been soft launched in NZ today

It has been confirmed that a select group of New Zealand creatives are trialling a new language model developed specifically for advertising agencies.

Known as JuniorGPT, the tool is rumoured to have been trained for nine months entirely on advertising data — decades of award jury discussions and case study transcripts, strategy frameworks, marketing and advertising textbooks, and creative briefs. It is positioned as “not another prompt toy,” aligning neatly with the current surge in vertical AI investment.

Designed to distil the most significant advertising developments of the past two decades into an easy-to-chat-with, one-stop platform, the tool is now being refined through industry feedback.

The invitation-only trial in New Zealand is taking place within select creative departments under strict non-disclosure agreements. Early testers claim it can map strategy, generate copy, and simulate creative reasoning “with unsettling fluency.”

The developers remain unnamed, fuelling speculation that the project is backed by private investors rather than an established agency brand.

In a brief statement, the platform said it “encourages open-minded scrutiny” from senior creatives as it continues to assess the tool’s implications for training, employment, and idea development.

Agencies or individuals interested in participating in the closed trial are invited to register their interest HERE.
