Harry Preston joins Shuttlerock as Managing Director, ANZ

Shuttlerock has appointed Harry Preston as Managing Director, ANZ, strengthening its leadership team as the business accelerates growth across Australia and the region.

Preston brings more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of creativity, production and agency operations. He has held senior roles across leading creative and production businesses including FCB, Genero, Hogarth, and most recently Mediabrands Content Studio.

“I initially spoke to Shuttlerock as someone looking at how their product could help agencies deliver better work under growing pressure,” says Preston. “The more time I spent with the team and their technology, the clearer it became that it’s a genuinely revolutionary solution for a very real problem the industry is facing. I’ve spent my career working in and alongside agencies and understand the pressures they’re under: more content, tighter margins, faster turnaround. What excites me about Shuttlerock is that they’re not trying to replace creativity or people. They’ve built a product and service model that transforms agencies into modern organizations that enable them to easily scale execution, so they can stay focused on customer retention and growth.”

Shuttlerock’s technology and service model enables brands and agencies to deliver high-quality content at scale through smart workflow, automation and human-led creative execution. The company is trusted by many of the world’s largest advertisers across a number of verticals, including FMCG, retail, entertainment and technology.

In his new role, Preston will look to expand Shuttlerock’s partnerships across ANZ and Singapore, with a focus on helping agencies streamline high-volume, omni-channel production so their teams can spend on what they do best, more time on strategy, creative and growing client relationships.

“Shuttlerock has built an industry leading technology solution: highly innovative, proven, and respectful of human craft. I’m excited to help enable agencies to compete in this demanding world of creative production in a way that supports them winning and retaining clients while helping creativity thrive.”

Shuttlerock Founder Jonny Hendriksen says Preston’s experience and perspective made him an ideal addition to the team: “Harry understands agencies because he’s built inside them,” said Hendriksen. “He knows the pressures they’re under, and the reality that surviving and thriving today requires more than great ideas alone. Agencies need the right technology partner that they can trust to enable  them to scale creativity without losing what makes it effective.

“Harry brings credibility, empathy and commercial rigour, and he deeply understands how technology-led automation can unlock faster, more consistent and more impactful creativity at scale. He shares our belief that human-crafted ideas are strongest when they’re empowered, not replaced by the right technology. That makes him a perfect fit for where Shuttlerock is heading, and for the journey agencies now need to be on.”

Preston joins a growing ANZ team, following the recent appointment of Samantha Harvey (formerly of D3) in Auckland, and builds on the strong foundations established in Sydney by Gabe Marshall, Shuttlerock’s Global Client Partner. Together, the team reflects Shuttlerock’s continued investment in the region as it scales its partnerships across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
