Truth and Soul podcast flips the script as Rich Maddocks interviews Paul Catmur in new episode

The Truth and Soul podcast has featured many fascinating guests from the world of advertising and beyond, typically interviewed by one of the industry’s most respected creative leaders, Paul Catmur (left). For the latest episode, however, the script flips – with creative legend and former Bastion Aotearoa CCO Richard Maddocks (right) stepping in to interview Catmur himself.

Although this is prompted by the launch of Catmur’s book, The Gutter Bar, it’s not entirely about self-promotion. Maddocks probes into Catmur’s chequered past to find out what he was doing in a Bahamas casino, how he ended up living in New Zealand, what the court case in Australia was all about, his curious connection with The Tiger King, and some of the biggest disasters of his career. You’ll particularly enjoy the disasters.

The pair of them tend to get quite animated so the podcast is quite long, but don’t worry, their ramblings are very entertaining. (At least, they think so.)

So, to paraphrase Chairman Mao, the podcast of a thousand minutes starts with a single ear, so please dive in.
