Mango Communications rebrands to FleishmanHillard Aotearoa
One of New Zealand’s largest and most awarded public relations agencies has today unveiled a new name as part of Omnicom Oceania’s evolving communications offering.
Mango Communications Aotearoa will now operate as FleishmanHillard Aotearoa, becoming part of the globally recognised and highly-regarded FleishmanHillard network.
Sean Brown, Managing Director of FleishmanHillard Aotearoa, says the move represents much more than a name change: “This is a significant step for our team and our clients. This move connects us to a powerful global network and strengthens our trans-Tasman collaboration. We now have access to more than 250 specialists in PR, social, creators and activations across ANZ, as well as advanced global tools, insights and expertise from the FleishmanHillard network.”
FleishmanHillard Aotearoa will continue to be co-located with McCann Group NZ (formerly DDB Group Aotearoa & FCB Aotearoa). As part of Omnicom’s Earned centre of excellence, the rebrand will also enable deeper collaboration across all Omnicom Oceania agencies.
Brown says the new structure will allow the team to expand the breadth of services it offers clients: “We already offer full-service earned creative, corporate communications, influencer and social capabilities, as well as experiential and event production. Through FleishmanHillard, we now have even greater access to global expertise, specialist services and integrated communications capabilities.”
The agency will continue to deliver earned creative and strategic communications for its diverse client portfolio, which includes McDonald’s, Samsung, New Balance, AMEX and Booking.com alongside other leading local and global brands.
While the transition marks an important new chapter, Brown acknowledges the legacy of Mango Communications in New Zealand: “There are so many positives to this change, but it is also somewhat bittersweet. Mango has been a leading agency in New Zealand for more than 20 years. It’s a brand that’s been widely recognised by clients and industry talent alike, and it has produced countless award-winning campaigns for both local and global brands.”
Omnicom Oceania’s government relations and strategic communications firm, GRC Partners, will also be co-located alongside FleishmanHillard, providing clients with deep insights and expertise, set against the backdrop of a general election year. GRC Partners is the local arm of GRACosway, with offices across Australasia, including Auckland and Wellington.
Roberto Pace, CEO of Earned, Omnicom Oceania says the rebrand positions FleishmanHillard to further strengthen its leadership in the New Zealand market: “There are significant opportunities ahead for FleishmanHillard in New Zealand. Sean and the team have built a reputation for delivering best-in-class earned creative, strategy and execution for leading brands, and being part of the global FleishmanHillard network will only strengthen that offering.”
The rebrand takes effect immediately.
