Dance music magazine Mixmag appoints culture-first agency noisy to drive ANZ growth

Mixmag ANZ, the world’s biggest dance music magazine, has signed with culture-first agency noisy, marking a significant step in its expansion across Australia, New Zealand, and the global electronic music landscape.

The partnership will see noisy collaborate with Mixmag ANZ across content, campaigns, and real-world activations, connecting brands with one of the most engaged and culturally influential dance music audiences in the region.

The deal unlocks access to the wider Mixmag global network, enabling content and campaigns developed locally to be syndicated internationally. Mixmag’s global footprint includes more than 1.9 million YouTube subscribers and over 1 million Instagram followers, offering noisy and its partners a powerful pathway to scale culturally relevant work beyond ANZ.

noisy is a culture-first agency connecting brands with young Australians through owned media, events, festival partnerships, and real-time content. The business operates nightlife platform LINES across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, represents concert alert platform Whatslively, and has worked with brands including Kirin Hyoketsu, Tinder, Scape, and Up&Go, alongside major record labels. The Mixmag ANZ signing is the latest addition to noisy’s growing portfolio, following the exclusive commercial partnership with Maple Social Club last month.

Mixmag ANZ, known for its deep cultural credibility and grassroots connection to electronic music communities, operates across editorial, social, streaming, events, and ticketing, offering a holistic platform that bridges online engagement with real-world experiences.

Says Harry Wilson, Managing Director at noisy: “Signing Mixmag ANZ to noisy is a natural fit for us. They’re embedded in culture, just like noisy. Having the ability to take what we build locally and amplify it through their global network is a huge opportunity for both our partners and the communities we work with.”

Says Kerry Wallace, Mixmag ANZ: “noisy brings a genuinely community-first approach to everything they do. Their ability to connect brands with culture in an authentic way makes them an ideal partner as we continue to grow our presence across the region and beyond.”

The partnership signals a shared commitment to elevating the voices, spaces, and scenes shaping dance music culture, while creating new opportunities for brands to engage audiences both locally and globally.
