Clemenger Group NZ establishes human resources role – appoints Chandler HR director

Margot Chandler-web.jpgClemenger Group New Zealand has appointed Margot Chandler as its people development director in the company’s newly developed human resources role.

 

The new role recognises the importance of staff development at the Clemenger Group, New Zealand’s largest marketing and communications company.

 

Says Clemenger Group CEO Jim Moser: “We’ve done well to manage our HR through our Finance and Administration departments up until now, however the market has changed and this new role will help us to improve our staff development, training and retention.

“Margot is the perfect fit for us as she has a tremendous amount ofrelevant experience, understands the communications industry and willbe an excellent cultural fit for the broader Clemenger Group.”

Chandler joins the Clemenger Group from her most recent role as capability manager for Vector. “I am very much looking forward to thisnew role in such a creative organisation as Clemengers. I am confidentthe role will add value to the business,” says Ms Chandler.

 

She started her career as a broadcast journalist with roles at TVNZ, BBC Radio and BBC Television. In 1998 she took on the role of performance manager at TVNZ and in2002 she became training manager, TVNZ News and Current Affairs. Inthis role she developed and managed a strategic training anddevelopment plan to support the performance of TVNZ news staff. 

 

In 2003 Chandler became the learning and development manager for TVNZresponsible for driving learning, development and organisation-wide HRinitiatives. She left TVNZ in 2007 to take up the role of Capability Manager at Vector where she has been for the past three years.
