NFD Muffs of 2011.jpgTo raise awareness among home handymen of the importance of wearinghearing protection, the National Foundation for the Deaf have createdtheir own ‘provocative’ calendar to appeal to this male dominatedaudience.

The ‘Muffs of 2011 Calendar’ is designed to target the average Kiwibloke. He’s got a sense of humour, likes to tinker and work away in hisshed, and tries to pop on a set of muffs when he remembers.  Whichisn’t that often.

The Muffs Calendar is a parody on the thousands of male orientatedcalendars that already exist, yet at its heart it is a constant yearlong reminder for blokes to wear their ear-muffs.

muffs.jpegThe calendar features a different pair of ear-muffs each month, each one in a new and provocative location.  One pair is taking a steamy shower.  Another is lazing on a sun-drenched beach.  Another has gone all ‘Wild Thing’ and is splashing around in the suds as it washes a car.

The limited edition calendar will be available for $10 at all STIHL Shops across New Zealand and all proceeds will go to the National Foundation for the Deaf.
