gluesoc.jpgRising and established stars from all facets of the creative world will converge in Wellington at the Paramount Theatre on Friday 16 November for the capital city’s debut of Semi-Permanent.

Tickets for the one day event held at the new location are $120 and discounted student tickets at $70 ensure that the next generation of creative designers are also part of the conversation.

@RadicalMedia.jpgSemi-Permanent is a world leading multi-disciplinary design conference that was born from a desire to unite the world’s design communities with a premium creative experience by creatives, for creatives.

From a line-up of award winning international creatives who have worked on projects as varied as; the direction of music videos for Lady Gaga, the production of the first pilot episode of Mad Men, special effects on New Zealand film Two Little Boys, typography for the London Olympics 2012 brand, a webcast video for indie sensations Arcade Fire to a sculpture exhibition by the sea in Denmark, Wellington audiences have the chance to hear from the hottest talent coming out of Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand.

In its 10 year history, Semi-Permanent has hosted 33 events in eight cities, covering five countries, with over 200 speakers and 200,000 attendees.

Says Simon Velvin, New Zealand founder and director: “We established Semi-Permanent in New Zealand in Auckland back in 2004 after its overwhelming success in Sydney, where we worked with people like Banksy and Shepard Fairey.

“Wellington is my home town so it’s always been close to my heart. While it’s lost some of the major creative head offices, it still punches above its weight as a cultural and innovation hub for some of the world’s most exciting creative talents.

“After lots of interest and support, we are delighted to grow Semi-Permanent into Wellington and help to nurture an already bustling community.”
