Yealands Family Wines picks Special Group NZ as global design and advertising agency partner
After a strategic pitch process, Yealands Family Wines has appointed Special Group to be its global design and advertising agency partner.
Says Michael Wentworth, Yealands general manager of marketing: “We are impressed by Special’s holistic design and advertising capability. As a global business we’re also excited about their team’s broad international experience, and the success of their office in Australia – one of our key export markets. Culturally too, they just seem a great fit for Yealands.”
Says Michael Redwood, managing partner, Special Group: “Yealands is a seven-year old company on a mission. Already the sixth largest wine producer, they are both the world’s most sustainable wine company, and producer of the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc (International Wine Challenge – 2012). We’re honoured to have been chosen as their marketing partner.”
Says Teresa Harris, strategic director, Special Group: “Wine at its heart is all about provenance and storytelling, and the Yealands brand is full of incredible stories. We believe that together we have the substance to create a truly world-famous New Zealand brand.”

Don’t Special work with Lion?
Hello Mr Special,
My word, you are on a heck of a roll (as they say on the Mad Men TV show) – last week it was Holden (did I mention I drive a Barina?) and now Yealands (I don’t drink, but I like chocolate).
But, have you had any luck with talking to the Ogilvy advertising company regarding the car park made available by the former ECD. It’s still there, my TAB client would love to use occupy it. They are willing to throw in a night in the TAB box at Eden Park for the next Blues game.
Thank you in advance.
You, Wilson Parking, are amazing.
