After formal pitch Freemans Bay Indie Republik graduates to take top honours with Unitec win
Following a formal pitch process, Freemans Bay Indie Republik has graduated to take top honours with their appointment to Unitec’s strategic, creative and media business.
Says Unitec’s Director of Customer Journey, Alistair Kirk: “We worked through an incredibly robust process and during that time Republik impressed us at every stage, on all criteria levels. The strength of strategic thinking was exciting and will no doubt evolve to form the platform for future campaign activity and brand enhancement.”
Says Republik Director Heath Boot: “Unitec is one of New Zealand’s leading tertiary institutions and we’re thrilled to have been given the opportunity to partner with them. Unitec is challenging the tertiary education norms through its focus on strong relationships with business, the high standard of subject experts and those who want to learn from them. This is delivering an exciting new kind of education, one with real purpose and prospects.
“We’re looking forward to working with Alistair and the team on continuing to build the brand and creating effective communication programmes. There was no time to pause following the pitch and we got straight down to the real work of developing the 2016 ‘Semester One’ campaign which has just gone live.”

“Unitec is one of New Zealand’s leading tertiary institutions…”
Wait, wut – you mean like after the seven actual universities and the pretender? Hardly leading.
Are there any academic staff left at Unitec, after their never ending rounds of redundancies and restructures??
