Industry veteran Lee Parkinson joins Strategy Creative Christchurch in strategy director role

image001 (1).jpgIndustry veteran Lee Parkinson begins today as strategic director of Strategy Creative Christchurch.

 

Parkinson has been a strategist for more than two decades and has worked with clients from virtually every industry and sector.

 

His work has been recognised at many international and domestic shows, and he has also had the honour of being a judge at most of the big industry awards, such as Cannes and AdFest.

Says Parkinson: “I’m really thrilled to be joining Strategy Creative at what is a very exciting time for the agency. I’m joining a great team and that’s always a good feeling.”

 

For Strategy Creative Christchurch managing partner Nick Harvey, having Parkinson join the team is a major coup.

 

Says Harvey: “Lee has more experience than most in the New Zealand industry. He’s been in the game almost as long as Strategy has been in business so he’s seen all the trends come and go.

 

“For me, the combination of his previous experience mixed with his forward-thinking attitude is invaluable. He will be right at home in the studio with the youthful, energetic, and progressive environment we have here.”

 

Parkinson says he’s confident it’ll also be a perfect fit with the Strategy culture and approach to work.

 

Says Parkinson: “I’ve been aware of Strategy for some time now and the agency has built a reputation of using insightful and clever thinking to devise campaigns which solve real client problems.”

 

Strategy Creative was founded 25 years ago in Christchurch and now also has studios in Wellington, Auckland, Sydney, and Tokyo.

 

Last year was a big year for the Christchurch studio which created a widely-praised identity for TEDxChristchurch, had its rebranding work for Dalman Architects recognised by Tokyo Type Directors’ Club, and rebranded Naylor Love — one of the country’s biggest construction companies.
