Curtis Hill officially on the roster at Goodoil

Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 11.49.49 am.jpgCurtis Hill is officially on the roster at Goodoil. He has just won the MADC Rising Star for Film Direction. His spot for Movember “A Man of Few Words” with Cummins & Partners launched last month to global recognition.

Soon after graduating from VCA, Hill was nominated for an Australian Directors Guild Award and two Cannes Young Director Awards. His mature approach to film craft is undercut by his youthful edge.

Says Sam Long, executive producer, Goodoil: “Curtis has accomplished a great body of work in a relatively short amount of time. With his campaign for Movember and his recent MADC win we feel that the time is right for Curtis to sit on the main roster. It’s been a great trajectory so far, and he’s been working hard to shape his reel, maximising every opportunity. We know he’s destined for greater success.”

Says Hill: “Since working with Goodoil I’ve managed to produce some of my best pieces of work, it’s an incredibly supportive and creative environment. I’m stoked to be on the main roster alongside Australia’s best directing talent and I look forward to the future.”

He has directed spots for Ford, Royal Life Saving Australia, Swinburne, Xero, and anti-piracy films for Creative Content Australia. He has also directed an acclaimed music video for The Rubens and is developing long form projects.
