Food and lifestyle photographer Manja Wachsmuth finishes 2020 with two award wins in the Creative Communications Awards C2A.

The past year saw the talented photographer gain awards in three prestigious, global photography competitions with both PX3 (Prix de la Photographie Paris) and C2A awards for her already multi-awarded The Bug Project as well as a C2A award for lockdown project Behind Closed Doors, which tells the reality story of 8 owner operator restaurant families during the first lockdown of Covid-19 in Auckland.

Additionally Wachsmuth was rewarded for her series Beautiful Decay in IPA (International Photography Awards) and recognised for her heartfelt Maternal Mental Health project exhibited in the first Women’s Work collective exhibition in early 2020, also in IPA.

Wachsmuth, who had a brief spell being represented by Match Photographers agency, is now flying solo.

Says Wachsmuth: “To finish a challenging year on a high note is an incredible honour and I can’t wait to see what 2021 has on the cards.”
