Tonight was the awards show for our Gold and Grand Prix winners in the Creative Strategy category I had the honour of judging.
Brilliant to watch the faces of the recipients. In them, you see a mix of sheer joy and a sense of victory.
It isn’t a victory over the competition. It’s a victory over mediocrity. Because it takes guts and guile to get an idea across the line in an era where many are allergic to risk. To be a leader and truly original, you need courage. And steel in your spine. To win a Cannes Lion, it takes commitment to greatness. You must look beyond the pain, the endless hours of work, the doubt, and the voices of opposition.
To blaze trails is to make peace with grit and get the job done. Whatever it takes.
