Independent, integrated agency YoungShand has added recent AUT graduates Abigail Smith, Aaliyah Wattie, and senior designer Melanie Bosma to its growing creative department.

Says Corey Chalmers, ECD, YoungShand: “It’s been great injecting new voices and talent into our multi-faceted department. A&A have maturity beyond their years. They’ve slotted so effortlessly into our team and have quickly become firm favourites among our crew and our clients. They’re thinkers, understand youth culture in all its forms, and are relentlessly curious.”

Says Smith and Wattie: “We’re so excited to be a part of such an energetic and innovative group of people at YoungShand. We’re loving learning from some of the best and are determined to create awesome stuff. If the future looks anything like our first couple months here we are pumped for it!”

Bosma also joins from Next Chapter Studio.

Says Scott Maddox, CD YoungShand: “Mel is a total graphic and digital design weapon – multi-skilled, with great taste, and the freshest design portfolio I’ve seen in some time. She’s already made a huge impact on our work and she’s only just begun. It’s a good time to be at YoungShand – I’m thrilled these amazing people chose to join us and the mission we’re on.”

Says Bosma: “I’m thrilled to have joined such an inspiring and fun bunch of humans – and I can’t wait to contribute creatively to an agency that consistently produces impactful, awesome work.”
