XC buckets stack Nov12.jpgCookie Time Limited this week unveils the last of its rebranded Cookie Time products with the launch of Christmas Cookies. In September, the company launched the biggest refresh of its flagship Cookie Time brand in 20 years, with new dairy signs, POS, franchise vans and packaging for its 20 different types of cookies via Italian illustrator Alessandra Sorrentino, Dow Design and an internal CTL team of seven.

Christmas Cookies, an iconic Kiwi Christmas treat and packaged in 600g reusable buckets, go onsale for the 27th year tomorrow with a team of 73 sellers nationwide and an online store.

While the much loved Christmas Cookies recipe remains unchanged, the buckets have a new look carrying through themes from the rebrand – highlighting the real ingredient credentials, bringing to life the fun loving and upbeat nature of the brand and, bringing the beloved Cookie Muncher to the fore.

Revamped by Sorrentino, Cookie Muncher appears here complete with Santa hat and a Merry Christmas Cookies message. Bucket colours have been rethought to align with the three flavours (Chocolate Chip with a chocolate coloured lid, Apricot Chocolate with an orange lid and Cranberry White Chocolate with a cranberry lid) and Christmas Cookies images have been turned into Christmas decorations.

Part of the proceeds from this year’s Christmas Cookies campaign will again go to the Cookie Time Charitable Trust, with more than $14 million raised to date. This year, a $50,000 donation will be made to the Trust, which is dedicated to helping Kiwi kids discover their gifts as principal sponsor of Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand, the Trust’s work has made a significant difference to the one in ten New Zealanders who have dyslexia, particularly in supporting children to reach their potential.

Christmas Cookies has also teamed up with Kiwi band dDub to support local music this year, giving away a complimentary dDub CD with every three Christmas Cookies buckets sold. The CD is a mix of dDub’s two albums (Awake at Dawn, Medicine Man), plus a couple of unreleased tracks. Some 30,000 CDs have been allocated for the promotion.
