The Marketing Association announces the finalists for TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards 2014
The Marketing Association has just announced the finalists for the TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards 2014.
Back in April, marketers were invited to submit their best marketing initiatives and/or projects that represent the full scope of marketing, as they aspire to take their place alongside others who have made marketing history. They responded in record numbers; with a 10% increase in entries overall and an 18% increase in the number of companies entering.
This year’s judging panel looked for clear examples of marketing leadership, innovation and success within 15 Industry categories, six Judges’ Choice and three Individual Awards categories.
Says Sue McCarty, convenor of judges: “Being selected as a finalist is an honour in the industry; a mark of brilliance, drive, and the ability to achieve. All the finalists should be very proud of their achievement.”
The Individual Awards; Rookie Marketer of the Year, Marketer of the Year and the Marketing Excellence Award are all hotly contested, with some outstanding nominees contesting for the top distinctions.
Finalists in the Industry and Judges’ Choice categories represent some of New Zealand’s best-known brands, as well as a good selection of newcomers – testament to the just how keen our great marketers are to have their chance to make marketing history.
Last year’s Awards night was a sell-out and tickets are now on sale for the awards evening taking place on Thursday 28 August at The Langham, Auckland. Bookings can be made online at http://www.everythingmarketing.co.nz.

It looks like everyone who entered is a finalist. Still, it helps sell tickets.
Is this the new SPARC? Get an award just for trying.
It is all about ticket sales. Con all the marketing teams to actually think they have a chance to just sell them a table.
Barnes and Catmur had to enter their own work. Missing the point there somewhat aren’t you guys?
